What we actually do

The help itself, in plain words

Support at Home groups everything into three kinds of care. We use the same three groups for NDIS and private clients, so you only have to learn it once.

Rates shown are Support at Home standard hours (Mon–Fri), effective 30 July 2026. Minimum visit 2 hours. Also available: group social support, house cleaning, gardening and home maintenance. See the full price list, including weekends and after hours →

Getting started

Four steps, and we do most of them

Most people ring us before they’ve worked out which funding they’re eligible for. That’s fine — that conversation is step one.

01

A phone call, no forms

Tell us what’s happening. We’ll say straight away whether it’s aged care, NDIS or private, and what the realistic timeline is.

02

We help with the assessment

My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 for Support at Home, or the NDIS access request. We’ll sit with you while you call, and we can start privately in the meantime.

03

A home visit and a written plan

Free, no obligation. You get the schedule, the named workers and the costed plan in writing before anything starts.

04

The same faces, every week

You meet your workers before their first shift. If a match isn’t right, you tell your coordinator and we change it — no awkwardness.

Support at Home · what changed

If you had a Home Care Package, this affects you

On 1 November 2025 the Support at Home program replaced Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care. Four package levels became eight funding classifications. Annual lump sums became quarterly budgets, held by Services Australia rather than by your provider.

From 1 October 2026, personal care becomes fully government-funded — no co-contribution for showering, dressing or continence support.
